Rates

Projects would typically involve initial recording session(s), followed by post-editing/mixing and mastering.

All rates include myself as engineer

Please note that as BLS is operated from my private studio, it is not available for 'dry' hire.

Recording at Blue Lizard Studio

Recording at BLS - £20.00 per hour
(vocal tracking, individual instrument overdubs etc.)

Recording at Live Room - £30.00 per hour
(for full bands/drum kits etc.)

Location Recording

As the specific requirements of each location project may differ, please contact BLS to discuss details and pricing.

Audio Editing/Mixing & Pre-mastering

Client unattended - £15.00 per hour

(including media transfers, audio restoration, data backup etc.)

Original Composition & Producing

As these projects are dealt with on an individual basis, your particular requirements would be fully discussed before any pricing quotation.

CD Masters, Backups, Copies & Duplication

CD Audio master - £5.00 ea.
(premium Taiyo Yuden media; Plextools C1, C2 & CU error checking)

DVD Data file backup (e.g. project multi-tracks) - £10.00 ea. (plus file compilation time at standard editing rate)

Additional audio CD copies/short-run duplication of projects available from £2.00 per CD, using premium Taiyo Yuden media.

Full-face glossy watershield printing - Custom print setting/design £15.00p/h; £0.50 per CD/colour print

Booking and Payment

Please contact BLS for information on the availability of sessions and to discuss the needs of your project.

Recording session bookings are secured with a deposit to cover 50% of the estimated session fee (£20.00 min. deposit).

Deposits are non-returnable.

- sessions may be postponed and rearranged subject to availability and the client informing BLS (with confirmation reply) no later than 14 days prior to the original session date.

All sessions are chargeable from booked starting time and are payable in full upon completion. BLS reserves the right to cancel a session if the client does not show or make contact within the first hour.

Urgent projects/non-deposit late bookings accommodated subject to availability and may incur an additional fee.

All multi-track and master recordings will remain the property of BLS until cleared receipt of payment of final invoice.

Payments are accepted by cash or cheque, made payable to
"Blue Lizard Studio"

No VAT is charged on projects at BLS.
